Pickup from Dubai starts at 06:00 AM, Sharjah around 06:50 AM and Ras Al Khaimah around 07:30 AM. Your exact pickup time and location are confirmed the night before departure on WhatsApp. The early start is necessary to reach Khasab port in time for the 10:00 AM dhow departure.

What documents do I need for the Al Dara border crossing?

Your passport must have a minimum of 90 days validity remaining from your travel date. UAE residents must also carry their Emirates ID with at least 90 days validity. Original documents only — photocopies are not accepted at the border. We confirm your specific visa eligibility when you book so there are no surprises on the day.

Can I join if I have a single entry UAE visa, dependent visa or visa in process status?

Single entry UAE visa holders are not permitted to cross the Al Dara border into Oman for most nationalities. Guests with a visa in process or pending status are also not accepted at the border. Dependent visa holders can join the tour but must be accompanied by their sponsor at the border crossing. If you are unsure about your visa status, send us a WhatsApp before booking and we will confirm whether you can travel.

Is this tour suitable for non-swimmers and children?

Yes — this tour is suitable for all ages and non-swimmers are welcome. Life jackets are provided for all water activities and you are not required to swim or snorkel to enjoy the day. Please mention the ages of children when booking so the crew can prepare the right equipment.

What food and refreshments are included?

From the moment you board the dhow Arabic coffee, tea, fresh fruits and soft drinks are served. Lunch is served on deck around 1:00 PM. The menu includes fried chicken, lentil curry, mixed vegetable curry, rice, Arabic bread, hummus and salad. Soft drinks and water are available throughout the day.

What happens if the weather is bad or sea conditions are unsafe?

If sea conditions are unsafe to sail we cancel the tour and refund you in full within 7 days. You also have the option to reschedule to another date at no extra charge. We monitor conditions closely before every departure and inform guests as early as possible if a cancellation is necessary.

Is there really no public transport between Dubai and Khasab?

Correct, no bus, train, or metro connects the UAE to Khasab. Private or shared transfer is the only way to make this trip without self-driving.

What's the difference between private and shared transport?

Private means the vehicle is yours alone, priced by vehicle size. Shared means you join other travelers on the same route, AED 250 to 350 per person depending on your pickup location and availability.

What happens if I need to change my group size after booking?

Let us know as soon as possible. Changes made 3 or more days before departure can usually be matched to a different vehicle size if needed. Requests within 3 days depend on availability, and if not confirmed in time, the original vehicle and price stay as booked.

What if my documents aren't ready in time?

Every guest must be registered in the UAE border system before departure, this needs your passport copy (and Emirates ID where applicable) at least 24 to 48 hours ahead. If documents aren’t received in time, the booking is cancelled, since a guest not on the list cannot cross the border.

Can I book transport only, without a tour package?

es. We transport guests who’ve booked with other tour operators, guests staying independently in Khasab hotels, and guests who want a tour and transport together. All three are handled the same way.
