What documents do I need for the WAM border crossing?

Your passport must have a minimum of 6 months validity remaining from your travel date. UAE residents must carry their Emirates ID with at least 7 days validity. Original documents only — photocopies are not accepted at the border. An Oman visa is required for entry. Most nationalities receive a visa on arrival at the WAM border. We confirm your specific visa eligibility when you book.

Can I join if I have a single entry UAE visa, dependent visa or visa in process status?

Single entry UAE visa holders are not permitted to cross the WAM border into Oman for most nationalities. Guests with a visa in process or pending status are also not accepted at the border. Dependent visa holders can join the tour but must be accompanied by their sponsor at the border crossing. If you are unsure about your visa status, send us a WhatsApp before booking and we will confirm whether you can travel.

Are there dolphins on the Musandam Dibba tour?

Dolphins are not a guaranteed feature of the Dibba tour route. The Dibba side of Musandam is known more for its activities — snorkeling, kayaking, banana boat, speed boat, fishing and cave visits — than for dolphin sightings. If seeing dolphins is your priority, the Khasab Oman Day Tour From Dubai is the better choice as spinner dolphins are a regular presence on that route.

A Day in the Musandam Fjords

You will be picked up from your nearest location in Dubai, Sharjah or RAK. The drive follows the UAE coast through Fujairah and into the mountains before the road reaches the WAM border crossing into Oman. Our team sorts the paperwork on both sides while you wait in the vehicle.

At Dibba port the dhow is already on the water waiting. Step aboard and the crew serves welcome drinks as the boat prepares to leave. The dhow heads along the Musandam coastline to Haffa Beach, the main activity stop for the day. Snorkeling in clear water, kayaking along the cliff face, banana boat, speed boat and fishing off the stern. A sea cave sits in the cliff face close to the beach, accessible by kayak and one of the standout stops of the day. Lunch comes out on deck in the afternoon. The boat turns back toward the harbour by 4:00 PM. AED 190 covers the full day including transport, activities and lunch.

06:30 AM — Pickup from Dubai : Your driver collects you from your fixed pickup point in Dubai, Sharjah or Ras Al Khaimah. Deira City Centre, Spinneys Bur Juman and Hotel Grand Al Qusais for Dubai guests. King Faisal Mosque and Safari Mall for Sharjah. Sheikh Khalifa Hospital for RAK. Exact pickup time confirmed the night before on WhatsApp.

08:30 AM — WAM Border Crossing : The WAM border into Oman is one of the smoothest crossings in the region. Our team handles the paperwork and visa process on both sides. Follow the instruction of border team to make it easier.

09:30 AM — Board the Dhow at Dibba Port : Your dhow and crew are ready for the Musandam dibba tour. Step aboard and enjoy Arabic coffee, tea, fresh fruits and soft drinks served as the crew prepares to depart.

10:30 AM — Into the Musandam Fjords : The dhow pulls away from Dibba port and the coastline changes almost immediately, rugged cliffs on one side, open water on the other. The ride to Haffa Beach takes about thirty minutes, giving everyone time to settle in on deck and take in the scenery before the boat anchors and the day’s activities begin.

11:00 AM — Haffa Beach and Activities Begin
The dhow anchors at Haffa Beach and the day opens up completely. Snorkeling in clear water, kayaking along the cliff face, banana boat, speed boat and fishing off the stern. A sea cave sits in the cliff face close to the beach, accessible by kayak. Most guests split their time between the water sports and the cave before the crew calls everyone back on deck for lunch.

01:00 PM — Lunch on Deck : The boat anchors and lunch comes out. Green salad, hummus, Arabic bread, biryani rice, white rice, chicken curry, beef potato curry, fried chicken and fish, vegetable gravy and dal fry served fresh on deck. Unlimited soft drinks and water throughout.

02:30 PM — Afternoon Refreshments : Coffee, tea and assorted biscuits served on deck as the activities wind down and the boat prepares to head back toward the harbour.

04:00 PM — Return to Dibba Port : The dhow turns back toward the harbour. The WAM border crossing back into the UAE runs the same way as the morning — our team handles everything while you sit back for the drive home.

06:00 PM — Drop off at your pickup point : You are dropped back at the same location you were collected from in the morning. The day is done and the only thing you had to manage was showing up on time.
